Fluid is an aftermarket Android custom ROM distribution based on AOSP, focused on bringing a better UI/UX to Android with a fluid experience coupled with themes and customisations. #FeelsFluid Fluid doesn't aim at providing all the customisation available on the planet. Jet Fluids is a fluid simulation plugin based on the Jet Framework developed by Doyub Kim. Available for OSX and Windows for R20, R21, S22 and R23. This plugin is currently being developed to test out the Jet Framework. It will not be feature complete for quite some time and is only being worked on part time.

1. Hit the start page of your freshly created site with your browser and youshould see the 'thank you for downloading'-message.

2. Create the file FIRST_INSTALL in your web root directory (public folder)and reload the page. You will be redirected to the install tool. It willguide you through the steps for installing TYPO3. The Install Tool islocated in ‘typo3/install' in your installation which for example would behttp://www.example.com/typo3/install.php.

3. This is what you should see:

   Install Tool in 1-2-3 mode, first step.

4. In case you have problems in your Environment, you will get warnings orhints in this screen. In this case, you should try to fix them; the'Troubleshooting' section might help you.

5. Choose database connection. In this step, you can choose the databasemanagement system TYPO3 should run with. Via the GUI you can choose betweenMySQL (compatible to MariaDB), PostGres or SQLite if available. SQLiterequires no further configuration and is a good choice for testing TYPO3,but you should choose one of the others for running production grade websites.

6. Choose Database. If you did not select SQLite in the previous step, youhave to select an empty database for TYPO3 now (or create one if your useris allowed to).

7. Enter a username and password for your first TYPO3 administrator account.(For security reasons, it's best not to use the name admin.) This passwordwill also be used for the Install Tool. The 'site name' will identify thisinstallation (in the page tree and browser title).

8. In the last step you can choose whether you want to start with an emptyTYPO3 or if you want to have a basis to start from.

   Tip

   If you wish to install the 'Introduction Package' in order to create ademo site, choose:

   • With Composer: 'Take me straight to the backend'
   • Without Composer: 'Get preconfigured distributions'

   Proceed with Install Introduction Package

If you do not wish to install the 'Introduction Package', choose'Take me straight to the backend' or'Create empty starting page'

The installation is now complete.

With Composer¶

The recommended way of installing TYPO3 is via the PHP package manager Composer.For detailed instructions on how to install TYPO3 with Composer, visit theInstall TYPO3 via composer section of this manual.

When you install with Composer, you will install the core extensions and thirdparty extensions with the package manager Composer on the command line. You willnot be able to import extensions (e.g. from TER) in the TYPO3 backend via the browser!

Without Composer¶

If you do not have access to Composer, you can install TYPO3 by downloadingand then extracting its source package on your web server.

Which File Format to Use¶

Tip

This is only relevant if you install TYPO3 without Composer!

The TYPO3 Source package is available as a .zip or.tar.gz distribution. Their content is the same and you shoulddownload the one that you will be able to extract directly on yourweb server (Windows based systems are more likely to use the .zipfile while Linux distributions tend to use the .tar.gz file).
